Have you ever wanted a face that was as smooth as baby skin? Well, this bad boy will have your face so smooth that you will look thirteen again.

In all seriousness, this is a good safety razor for any man or woman. It’s very durable and will survive almost every bit of punishment you put towards it. That means if it accidentally falls off a shelf or gets smashed around in travel, it will be okay and will come out with no dents or dings. The handle is also textured so you can get a grip and avoid dropping it. A good buy for anyone.

2. Edwin Jagger De89lbl Double Edge Safety Razor

This safety razor features a shorter handle without much texture, but is just as durable as the safety razor above. The Edwin Jagger De89lbl supports all standard DE blades, so you don’t have to look too far for replacement blades. The blades can be easily installed by twisting the handle and removing the top plate, so no more breaking those cheap plastic hinges when trying to replace a razor head. Besides that, the Edwin Jagger De89lbl has a smart design and excellent balance to help reduce cuts. If you’re looking for something that’s a bit more compact than the Merkur, then this a good choice.

3. Parker 99R Butterfly Open Double Edge Safety Razor

The Parker 99R features a long handle with a slightly textured grip, brass frame and is nickel plated for extra durability. You can probably throw the 99R against the wall and it will be fine.

Anyway, like most safety razors it has a butterfly handle/twist-to-open design for easy blade replacement. So, there’s not a lot of fuss or steps you got to take to replace a blade.

Also, if you are wondering why this beast has “Heavyweight” in its name, it’s because it weighs a total of 3.4 ounces. So, if you’re looking for a beefy razor then here you go. You and your bros can use this thing to do some mean bench presses.

Really though, this is safety razor is guaranteed to give you that barbershop close shave. Why do I say that? This safety razor has a Parker TTO head which helps it get a closer, more comfortable shave compared to its competitors.

4. Feather Double Edge Shaving Razor

This safety razor is bringing a little bit more to the table with its very nice style. While there’s nothing wrong with the safety razors above, the classic metal look just doesn’t cut it for me all the time.

This sexy beast features a shiny metal with some black mixed in. So, it’s something that will not look like a surgeon’s tool when left out. Besides the good looks, it has the standard butterfly opening as well as a textured grip. You definitely don’t want to slip-up while shaving, so that textured grip is a good thing. Basically, this is an affordable safety razor with a good look!

5. Edwin Jagger De89bl Double Edge Safety Razor

The Edwin Jagger De89bl is almost exactly the same as the Edwin Jagger De89lbl. It has the classic barbershop look, achieves almost the same shave, and supports all standard DE blades. The one thing that’s different between the two models is that the Edwin Jagger De89bl has no texture on the handle. Personally, I prefer the texture and think it’s good to have a texture on your handle. You will never know when you need that extra grip. Another noticeable difference is that you can usually get this version about $10 cheaper than the other one.

6. Parker 22R Double Edge Safety Razor

This is a classic razor. It’s similar to the Parker 99R because of the brass frame and the special Parker head. But, this Parker 22R safety razor is a light 3.0 ounces, so no heavy lifting is needed here.

Besides that, the length of the handle is about 4 and ¼ inches, and has a pretty interesting grip design; the grip doesn’t exactly have a texture, but rather the handle has a bunch of small notches that will help with grip. Also, when this razor is coupled with shark blades it can deliver an incredibly smooth shave. This is a great razor for any new or expert wet shavers.

7. Merkur Classic Safety Razor

The Merkur classic is a short and stubby safety razor with only a 3 inch textured handle. Unlike the razors above, it doesn’t have a twist-to-open handle, rather the head “pops off” for blade removal. It’s very easy and still a better process than dealing with those pesky disposable plastic cartridges.

This safety razor is also the most lightweight on the list being at a very small 2.1 ounces. So, lifting this baby off the sink will feel like you are lifting a feather. Still, even though it’s extremely lightweight this thing will be able to take some damage. Obviously it’s not invulnerable, but it can definitely survive a few falls.

Yes, we are putting another Merkur safety razor on this list. What can we say, it’s a reliable brand that makes many different styles. This one is unique on this for the fact that you can adjust the blade at an angle that gets you that ultra close shave you are dying for.  This safety razor is the length of about 4 and ¼ inches so it’s a nice fit for anyone with big hands. The handle does lack a texture, but it’s pretty thick so there shouldn’t be any slipping. A very good razor for the money!

9. Parker 96R – Long Handle Double Edge Safety Razor

This Parker 96R features a sure grip handle and a slick design. The design is a shiny chrome with black accents so it’s a beautiful looking razor. The razor holds blades firm and straight, so you won’t get any unexpected nicks while trying to get that perfect shave.

Overall this razor has firm build and will last you many years. The brass handle and nickel head will be able to survive the scruffiest of beards (or any other untamed hair jungle). I know for sure that it will definitely last you longer than any of those plastic cartridge razors.

10. Shaving Factory Double Edge Safety Razor

If this is your first time buying a safety razor, then this is a good choice. This is one of the lowest priced items out of the bunch and will give you an idea of what shaving with a safety razor is like. This razor has the normal classy chrome look and the awesome twist-to-open technology for convenient blade replacement. This razor is also compatible with all standard size razors blades. It’s a very good introductory razor for its price and also comes with a small mirror. If you are unsure about safety razors, then just give this one a go. I’m sure it will have you looking forward to your next shave!
